[MU] - DECEMBER STORYTELLING / MEMORY SHARE
Something is wrong.
This may not very well be obvious, at first. The Storyteller is not present to put forth yet another diatribe, informative or apologetic, and the backdrop of guttering flame and sandy campfire is as present as ever...albeit briefly.
Those who tell their stories will start to notice something...odd taking place. Indeed, no matter how they intend to begin their tale, the land of Mu will immediately start to warp to accommodate it, or something utterly unlike it, until storytellers and listeners alike may find themselves in an exact recreation of a seemingly random memory, in the most stark and painstaking of detail. There is no altering the memory, nor is there any preventing it once it's begun to play - you will simply have to witness memories that are not your own this go around.
Furthermore, stories that take place in worlds other than LifeAftr will be, frankly, inevitable. Those memories, too, will be recreated, to be relived by the teller and lived by the listener.
It is time, once more, for you to tell a story...with a slight twist! This is, in fact, our first player plot, as provided by Dragon! The initial setting will be familiar for oldcomers, and newcomers will recognize it from the introduction they received in their dreams.
Yet for this Storytelling only, people can imagine whatever stories they wish, from both their homes and their time on LifeAftr, as long as they don't mind the fact that others will be reliving those stories in the form of an impromptu memory share.
Even those who prefer not to voice their stories aloud are not safe this time around. If the memory is recalled in essence, Mu will shift to accommodate it in full.
There is, however, a benefit to this: those who venture memories to be relived will receive both a befuddled apology from the Storyteller, who will assert that this was most definitely not meant to happen (they're the Storyteller, not the Rememberer!), as well as a tired promise that the relived memories will be worth two offerings each, as if in compensation.
Not that it counts for much, probably.

"Shittymatsu's shitty fashion. Even though he's a painful guy, his style draws you in... it's natural, isn't it? Wouldn't you like to try it at least once?!"
I mean... would you really?
no subject

"R-right? It's normal to wonder what it's like to feel fashionable! You totally get it, mouse."
no subject
"... but thinking about it, that whole thing was a disaster. Just forget it. You can do better than Karamatsu's disgusting clothes."
no subject
no subject
"No, you can still definitely do better. That's just a whole different kind of garbage. I mean, just look at my clothes... kind of a downgrade for you, right?"

Ichimatsu echoes him with a flat look of disbelief. Actually, he's completely bypassed 'worry' into outright incredulity. He points at Mickey seriously, a stern note entering his voice.
"Listen. You should be more aware of others. In this world, you've got normal members of society, and then you've got unburnable trash. Even as a mouse, you're fine as you are, so you shouldn't go looking up to people like us for anything. It'll just slow you down in life."

"T-that's not... you're.... look, it's not that you're 'fine', but it's not hard to be better than a bunch of NEETs!" How did they even get on this topic? "And what's with that 'swell guy' thing? It's so wrong, I don't know where to start. Don't you have any standards at all?"
no subject
"I dunno what a NEET even is, so it really doesn't change what I think." He gives a little shrug. "As you're not actively bad, to me that's all the standards I need."
no subject
"Keh. There's such a thing as being so nice that you look like an idiot, you know." There's no heat in it, though; Ichimatsu sighs and scratches his ear, patting the front of his parka with the other hand. "... you're serious? You actually want to try this on?"
no subject
no subject
Did he... just call Ichimatsu a friend? Seriously? He finds himself balking. It's not like he hates the thought, but... he didn't expect that. What the heck has Ichimatsu ever done for him? Nothing useful, that's for sure. Looking shyly away with a soft grunt, Ichimatsu reaches out his hand and clumsily grasps Mickey's gloved hand in his own.
A lot of things come to mind during Mickey's reasoning, none of them very nice, but he refrains from saying them out loud. Instead, his eyes flick nervously to the top of the little mouse's head. Since they're on the subject, well...
"... t-then... can I... try on your hat?"
no subject
"Here you go, pal!"
no subject
His eyes flicker to the brim, reading those four names. Then he glances away and starts tugging on the hem of his hoodie.
"... you sure you're okay with this? Even though it's me..."
Fair's fair though, so he pulls his arms through his sleeves and slides the hoodie off in one quick motion, folding it into one arm. He's got on nothing underneath except a black t-shirt that shows off that he's somehow managed to maintain his paleness during his stay here; without hesitation, he offers the hoodie forward with one hand as the other one carefully lifts Mickey's hat out of his.
no subject
As he says this, he's already putting on the hoodie. Such a piece of clothing had yet to be invented in Mickey's time, so he admires it as he wears it, trying to flip the hood on - but since it's not designed for mouse ears, it doesn't. He gives a little laugh. "Well, at least it's warm!"
no subject
He'd started poking bits of his hair back down through the slits, but then he notices Mickey stuck in his hoodie. A beat of laughter breaks out of Ichimatsu; he drops to a knee and reaches out, rather unthinkingly, to grab the collar and stretch it so that one of Mickey's ears can slide through before the other.
"That's not gonna work, mouse. Think more like a NEET... don't try to force it."
So long as Mickey allows him to, Ichimatsu will help him get the whole thing over his head.
no subject
Of course, he still doesn't know what a NEET is, so the wordage again has no effect on him. But he allows Ichimatsu to push and pull adjust all he likes until the hoodie is properly worn. Mickey smiles, pleased, even spinning on his feet a little.
"Hey, thanks! No wonder you like it so much, it's comfy!"
no subject
"I guess so. Too hot for this place most of the time."

"The Ichimatsu!"
no subject
Then Ichimatsu bursts into outright laughter, smiling widely. It doesn't sound vindictive, at least.
"The One Pine Tree? Doesn't sound that comfortable to me."
