[The night of October 24th, you will once again find yourself in the abstract familiarity of Mu's dreamscape. The erstwhile Storyteller, who has been up until this point fairly recalcitrant, takes the shape of a snow-white owl with a pair of shrunken, reindeer-like horns curled out from either side of their head.]

[They perch in front of their tome, at the site of a roaring campfire in the center of their Temple. For once, the ever-present sound of waves has been silenced; there is nothing but the guttering of flame.]

I have been hard at work.

[They address you without preamble or apology.]

And once again, I have let time...slip.

I have been writing, you see. A story. Your story. Your collective stories...every step you have taken since you arrived here. I find that it helps me focus and, more interestingly, it helps me remember.

And so, yet again, I must ask your help. I will not demand it - you need not offer it if you do not wish it. But I wish to know, if you would offer...how would you dictate certain events to those who arrive on our shores? What would you deem important that they know?

If you would aid me in this, I might start to remember more...more than I have been.

And as time has proven slippery, and as it has continued to evade me, I wish to extend the choice for you to offer your stories to me in the waking world, in person. You needn't wait every night, and you needn't share those stories in front of others if it does not suit you. You may speak your offerings as you have the wherewithal to share them, and ask of me what you will of them.

But in that respect, I feel I must ask you: do not request of me what you cannot already make with your own hands. My power is limited, after all.
[Next month, we'll have a page up as a permanent storytelling post, which you can use to submit stories anytime you like. While there is still a limit of three stories per month, you will no longer need to wait for monthly Storytellings to submit them.]

[Our Item Requests page has received a slight update as well. More basic requests that can be easily made with existing resources will no longer be fulfilled - instead, you can look at our Resources Page for basics such as food, tools, and building materials. Item Requests are still useful for obtaining unique or canon-specific items, or in regaining powers, however!]

[The night of May 27th, in the familiar avenue of your dreams, you will finally receive some manner of explanation for the catastrophic mishap that has struck the local network of Stones of Farspeech.]

[The Storyteller is, unsurprisingly, harried in their delivery of this news. Perhaps their stress will be evident in the shape they have currently chosen to assume.]

- stories. I need stories to fix this. I'd not realized things had grown so dire. The monthly upkeep was not enough to sustain this ever-growing, ever-changing fabric, and so I'll require your stories. They may be past or present - it does not matter, but the sooner you can offer them, the sooner I can fix this! From as many different people as possible! Variety is critical. One story from ten people will be more helpful by far than twenty from one!

I...I will fix this. I can fix this. I only need your help to do it. The more I can accrue...

[A moment of consideration, and then - ]

Ten. Ten at the minimum. Ten should stabilize this. Twenty-five will ensure it will remain stable for the next three months. Fifty, and it will remain stable for the rest of the year.

Without your aid, I will be unable to make this right.
[If your character wishes to donate, they may comment to the corresponding top-level below. To ensure that no one goes bankrupt, we will impose a five story limit per character - and only two stories can be used to stabilize the network immediately.

If your character wishes to converse with the Storyteller, they may also do so.]

[In the late evening of the 15th, you find yourself sitting at a campfire, surrounded by total darkness. The cheerful light and warmth of the flames emcompasses but a few feet from it’s source, the rest of the world hushed and perhaps...absent entirely.

Beside you, a white(?) rabbit, almost as tall as yourself while sitting down, finishes dutifully cleaning one ear with a sigh, staring out into that pitch black with an almost forlorn expression.]

The problem, when one is a god, is that time… time is a much smaller concept, [they say.] One century, you can be at the peak of your splendor - and yet one tiny, thousand year nap, and everyone forgets about you.

I realize you all have many questions. I would like to make an attempt to address them.

From the same point of view )
