[The night of May 27th, in the familiar avenue of your dreams, you will finally receive some manner of explanation for the catastrophic mishap that has struck the local network of Stones of Farspeech.]

[The Storyteller is, unsurprisingly, harried in their delivery of this news. Perhaps their stress will be evident in the shape they have currently chosen to assume.]

- stories. I need stories to fix this. I'd not realized things had grown so dire. The monthly upkeep was not enough to sustain this ever-growing, ever-changing fabric, and so I'll require your stories. They may be past or present - it does not matter, but the sooner you can offer them, the sooner I can fix this! From as many different people as possible! Variety is critical. One story from ten people will be more helpful by far than twenty from one!

I...I will fix this. I can fix this. I only need your help to do it. The more I can accrue...

[A moment of consideration, and then - ]

Ten. Ten at the minimum. Ten should stabilize this. Twenty-five will ensure it will remain stable for the next three months. Fifty, and it will remain stable for the rest of the year.

Without your aid, I will be unable to make this right.

[Maybe it's not surprising, to see them freak the fuck out over this, but it does worry Lup. Seems a bit out of proportion, for a mishap that's basically a watered down version of that time Mu turned into everybody's Greatest Personal Hits? She squats down to be on their level and holds out both hands calmly.]

Hey, buddy? Breathe, okay? Nobody's dying cuz their Stones are on the blink. We got this.

It isn't ideal. None of this is ideal. People were angry the last time their minds and memories were on display - and this time it can at least be prevented.

[It's not the constant blaring of corrupted audio that may be, potentially, distressing. It's the thoughts and memories that have now, once again, been ruthlessly bent out of shape and placed on display for all to hear.]

[Her ears sweep back a lil contritely at talk of how angry everybody got before, because she definitely told them off for it at the time too.]

I know, and you're right, it's gotta stop for sure. It can... hurt, to have shit broadcast like this. But like, you freaking out about it isn't gonna get it fixed faster? Kinda, not a good look for our god. We're gonna juice you up and you're gonna get this under control. We're a team, right?

[The act of taking a breath is ultimately an unnecessary one; they are a divine creature whose physical shape is not ever truly physical, particularly now, in the context of a dream. But with the act of it, of taking a slow and meaningful breath, they perhaps underscore the fact that they are trying. They intend to communicate, as quickly and efficiently as possible, that they are doing their best to calm themself.]

...with your help, yes. With the help of those who wish it. Yes.

[And Lup is glad to see it, smiling encouragingly.]

You got it. [But, she's not quite satisfied. Watching them, she settles down cross-legged, getting comfortable.]

Is that all this is about, though? Just the Stones stressing you?

I would be lying if I claimed that was the only thing on my mind. But given the events as they have unfolded these past several months...could you fault me for that?
