[MU] - MARCH STORYTELLING
The world is silent, and the dream-night is absolute. The Storyteller has no commentary to offer you, or warnings to venture, or anything else. There is only the drape of Mu's night and the vision of a campfire, and the means with which you might tell your stories.
In the waking world, Cahypdo still awaits. After tonight, Monsun will once again vanish. What happens until then is all routine...
It is time, once more, for you to tell a story. The setting will be familiar for oldcomers, and newcomers will recognize it from the introduction they received in their dreams. This too is a dream, and the ink-black dark is illuminated only by the bonfire surrounded by log seats. And seated around the fire are your fellow islanders, many of whom doubtless know the drill by now.
One by one, you will each have the opportunity to share your stories, as stories possess a certain undeniable power. Newcomers can tell whatever tale they wish, but for those who have been in LifeAftr for at least one Storytelling, only stories of their time in LifeAftr will count down the road. The story need not be long, or conventional, or even verbal; as long as the Storyteller knows it has been told, it will qualify. Those of the nonverbal persuasion have, as of a request issued by Ren (
catpiper), an alternative means of telling their stories if they so choose, in the form of the Chamber of Glyphs.
If you prefer to keep your mouth shut, that's always an option, though you're more liable to benefit if you do. Perhaps you'd rather not relive any of your history, varied and variegated as it must be. Or maybe you're something of a compulsive un-truther, prone to embellishments and long, fanciful tangents. As long as the core of the story is true to its spirit, you are free to spin your tale however you like.
So choose well.

Character Name: Asgore Dreemurr
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
- Wesker and Krauser are here! This story strays a little into pre-LifeAfter stuff, relating how he met them in Beacon and a little about things that happened there, but Asgore keeps generally on track with how they turned up and he showed them around the islands. He doesn't relate any specifics of the crazy murder shit both those dudes have gotten up to, but he does confide that he's worried about Wesker in particular for vague reasons.
- He also talks about the exploration group he led to Cahypdo. It was a larger group than he really intended to bring, which has brought him to the realization that he sort of has a lot of friends now? Friendly acquaintances, at least? He's not sure, but he had a good time with everyone, and he found some weird kiwi things.
- Are you ready for the continuing adventures of TEA? He made some new blends, served them to several people in Denny, and is working with Ignis to try out an apricot flavor with his next harvest. Let him tell you all about it!

Character Name: Ren
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3 (1 for lupnet)
Offering(s):
Story one: It's chaos. She pretty much talks about how a bunch of people banded together for team purple and the ensuing nightmare that followed. She was Everywhere and expresses how much fun it was to throw paint at people-mostly her own team. Everyone's very good at playing tag, is the thing.
STORY TWO: Since the islands haven't been death lately, trying to get first dibs on treasure was priority number one. Yasha and Beau are super good treasure hunters and she had a grand ole time rolling around the island with them.
Story THREE: Round two of island tag was a welcome surprise and she talks about trying to get people settled by spraying them with purple ink-she even met a sentient car?? bike?? thing?? And painted a dragon's nails. That's the life, honestly.

Character Name: Yuuri
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 2
Offering(s):
- She talks about getting here and running into Nari and Ardyn and the unfun mess that's been – in particular, she talks about how awkward and uncomfortable being in Ardyn's general vicinity has been, considering everyone's mutual knowledge of the Space Murder Situation. But she's hopeful that with the awkward introductions over with, they'll be able to keep out of each other's way.
- She's going to be working with Ignis on the farming isle! She mentions this mostly as a lead-in to talking about her time with the gardening club back in Megurigaoka and how happy she was when she got back to Tokyo and realized that might actually be a viable career path for her. She's been hard at work at college (or she was, before she got spirited away to the islands) so she's hoping she can put that experience to the test on the farming isles.
Public/Private: how dare you imply yuuri would share things about herself with people (this means private)

Character Name: Shion
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: Two (one goes to Lup Net)
Offering(s): 1) New Island Report. He speaks about the new island, of his search with Ren and co where they found sea grapes, his meeting with the Roaka and about helping in the aftermath of the earthquake.
2) His census, he speaks about those missing from this story telling and those who he believes are probably gone.
Public/Private: Public as usual, the first is quite matter of fact though he gets animated when talking about the new things they found. His second story is just sad.

Character Name: Laurent

> Repeating Drifter’s announcement that the library is looking for books and to check in with the ST if you want some titles in mind- but also, please mind book-borrowing etiquette. No food or drinks in the library.
> Some constructive criticism for the Storyteller’s interior decoration: apparently, one of the newcomers thought their mana pool water looks like weird green piss. Laurent’s more amused about this factoid than anything.
Public/Private: First is public, second is private

Character Name: Starflight
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
- Starflight starts off reciting the story of the War of SandWing Succession, perhaps not with much flair but with the confidence of years of memorization. He tells about how Queen Oasis was killed by three scavengers who stole all the treasure of the Kingdom of Sand, and how her three daughters are vying for the throne, having formed alliances with the other tribes. The war has lasted 18 years, ravaging the continent of Pyrrhia and the dragon tribes. He will also recite the Dragonet Prophecy, that five dragons born on the brightest night, when all three moons were full, will stop the war, and how an underground peace group, the Talons of Peace, have been raising them in secret.
- Starflight will share some stories about his best friends, more or less his family as they were the only dragons he knew for most of his life besides their three guardians. He tells all about how talented his friends are in turn, speaking of each of them: Clay, Sunny, Glory, and Tsunami, at length, and how much he depending on them all growing up.
- Starflight, more waveringly, shares the experience of his strange dream where me met Izuku Midoriya, his first time meeting a talking scavenger, and seeing him again on the beach when he first arrived at LifeAftr. He'll share some of his thoughts about his first day on LifeAftr, getting chased by birds and attacked with ink, and meeting more of the unusual inhabitants here, including a skeleton.
Public/Private: All three are public.

Character Name: Guzma
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: Three!
Offering(s):
- He'll tell about his experience with Lillie and the fireworks festival some time ago, hanging and just chilling peacefully with her there.
- The absolute madness that was the paintball event. He'll be super animated and loud and just extremely excited throughout the whole telling, explaining smaller details like tagging picture of various pokemon and the Team Skull logo everywhere, and even giving Ren a temporary spray paint tattoo on her back, of a Vivillion.
- Showing off his Pokemon's moves to Lance, explaining what it takes to be a pokemon trainer, and basking in the small glow of people appreciating his super awesome bug type pokemon. Because they're hecking rad, yo.
Public/Private: All public!!

Character Name: Tim Wright
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): As usual, he tells most of these privately, relatively calmly, and without going into a lot of detail. Also mentioning himself in these narratives as...little as possible, whenever he can.
Public/Private: All private, per usual.

Character Name: The Drifter
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): As is typical for them, they tell their stories nonverbally, with a mixture of text and drawings on the Chamber of Glyphs. This makes for some relatively clipped, impersonal telling, but they do their best!
Public/Private: All public, if nonverbally

Character Name: Agent Washington
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): As always, Wash's tone for these "stories" is less of a story and more of a post-mission report. He's clipped, formal, brusque, and probably not terribly interesting to listen to.
Public/Private: All three are private!

Character Name: Chip Abaroa
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
-The first story is about Chip's efforts in the ink wars, with a lot of excited enthusing about the big battle over the monkey compound. It was a lot of crazy and a lot of fun, and they're still kind of confused why people teamed up with them? They're pretty sure they just chose a cool color, but it was nice.
-Second story is about their search with Tim and Karako, which kind of doubles as a story about their first time meeting Karako on Mu, since they go off on a bit of a tirade about that. They're still kind of confused and worried about the bananas, because none of the other fruits around here have been odd in the same way, but it was still a good find.
-Third story is a quiet admission of their reaction to their Light, and the subsequent fights they had with Erika and the Knight. They're much less animated, quiet and clearly guilty for hurting their aunt and friend like that.
Public/Private: Private!

Character Name: Beauregard
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
- The first is about a new member of the Mighty Nein arriving to the scene, and... immediately disturbing a dragon and nearly getting eaten. She leaves out the parts that don't make them sound badass, and also everyone should talk to Jester because she's actually sociable where Beau is not.
- The second is an account of a search request she went on earlier this month with Yasha and Ren, where she is pleased to announce they found coffee, people. She's absolutely sure to caveat it with that this was not stolen from the Roaka (even though saying that makes it sound even more stolen) and that they've been replanted back at their place. If someone tries to steal them, she promises to kick your ass.
- And the third is a mention to Castor and their bar brawl in the Denny parking lot. It's mostly a shoutout to Castor being great at punching shit and also maybe a public flirt. It's hard to say. But good news- you can now fight behind a dumpster outside of the Denny, it's been done and Beau gives it two thumbs up.

Character Name: Kravitz
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 2
Offering(s):
- The first is a mention of the large rootwyrms that were trying to eat everyone at the top of the month, and a nod to Starlight for his involvement in Kravitz not getting eaten. He appreciates it, truly.
- The second is a belated shout out for the lunar new year festival and a thanks to Mollymauk specifically for their discussion about culture. He thought about saying cultural exchange and then realized that was a horrible sentence and backtracked mid word, which probably did nothing to make it sound better. Close enough.

Character Name: Sayoko Fukazawa
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
- The first story on offer is one she'd tell privately, and a bit hesitantly at that. She'd tell the story of an old, dear friend suddenly reappearing in her life, reminding her of just how much she had missed him. He was plainly in poor health and in some sort of danger, but refused any more assistance from her than a place to sleep and a checkup. She couldn't leave the matter alone, so she chased after him to try and find what the trouble was and help him... and in the end, she was killed for it. (aka here's a story from canon.)
- Next, she'd tell of how her arrival on the island resulted in getting chased down by paper birds, and how so many people were eager to help her out by dousing her in ink. There was a lot of yelling and a lot of surprised introductions... and it's a funny enough story, in retrospect, that she'd tell it publicly.
- Finally, she'd talk about picking out a place to stay, along with her old, dear friend. She rambles a bit for this one, mostly going on about her concerns about getting the place furnished and comfortable... but at least she and Tachibana have resolved how they're going to sleep.
Public/Private: First is private, the second two are public!

A very matter-of-fact report of the exploration and discovery of plums made by himself, Kiriya and Foster, including the results of a few basic tests and analysis done on said plums.
A second report on efforts made to recreate soldering iron using metal and a fire pit, and mild successes making the start of repairs to his Buckle using it.
Everything's said with formal-polite air of someone delivering a report at a work meeting with a higher-up, except for this last part; a slightly awkward, slightly bashful, and very short mention that things are going well with Sayoko and that he's grateful for the opportunity to make up for what was lost before.
After which he gives a small bow and excuses himself.

Character Name: Dirk Strider
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
- He tells a quiet tale of feeling lost and unsure how to handle being the only one from his Sburb session that's here. He knows fuck all people here in the way he knows his friends. It's disorienting as hell.
- Ren and the inking places and making pretty colors. He talks about this with his knees drawn up to his chest. He admits it made him realize how free he feels here. It's scary not having someone else's hand on his fate.
- Tide pools, driftwood, and aliens. Dirk talks about the people he went exploring C5 with and admits that made him feel useful. He feels like his knowledge can benefit others. He talks about knowing how he's been so...shy. He's getting there. Moving forward on his own isn't something he's used to without a direction to go.

Character Name: Alexei Dinoia
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): Storytelling is still very much not Alexei's thing! Who the hell would've guessed. But he actually does seem to be doing slightly better today? Still awkward and overly formal in phrasing, but it's obvious that the things he's talking about aren't bothering him in the way that his previous stories have.
1. He spoke to Ignis about the forges, and was commissioned to make a set of throwing knives for him. It's been a while since he was able to make anything, and he's actually very pleased about doing so - he'll talk a bit about Dein Nomos here as well, which was something he forged himself and is rather pleased with in terms of outcome, though he won't elaborate on why. Basically, he's a fucking nerd and he wants to talk about swords so goddamn, he's going to talk about swords. This will eventually dovetail into actually going to see the forges for himself, and making something there, just to see what his capabilities are with what he's got; Yeager came to talk to him there, and they discussed their world and what's been happening there. He won't go into details regarding specifically what incidents they talked about, but it's clear that the discussion went surprisingly well. He's a little hung up on how...well it went, actually... Though he'll shake it off eventually.
2. He's been trying to figure out synthesis, though he isn't entirely sure he can do that here; even if he can't, he finds it worthwhile to see what sorts of things the archepelago has to offer in terms of materials and the like, and he's been enjoying seeing what sort of things exist in that regard.
3. He spent time with Asgore at the Denny, and they showed each other magic over tea. It was just sort of a generally pleasant time, which is something that Alexei isn't exactly used to and it's likely obvious in the way that he recounts it. What the hell are friends. Are he and Asgore friends, he doesn't know. He's still trying to work that out.

Character Name: Albert Wesker
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): Okay, so. He's usually very short with his words, but Wesker actually knows how to tell a goddamn story and by god, he's going to tell these with all the smug confidence one would expect from someone with a face that inherently punchable. It's detailed, but not excessively so; more than enough to get the point across, anyway.
1. He's going to tell you about the end of the world! Namely, about the plan to restart civilization from a blank slate because his employers are insane, and how this plan took the form of starting the zombie apocalypse and then leaving him to steer it along - which was a very bad idea, mind you, because he really does like zombies and he finds them better company than most people, and as such he was perfectly fine with just...creating more? Keeping the ones that he had let loose around instead of killing them? He turned them into pets, it was fun. ...So yeah his world is kind of in a state of Total Apocalypse where he came from and he's been having a grand time since that came to pass.
2. He'll talk a bit about his time at Beacon Hospital, which was a murdergame that he did not like quite as much as the end of the world but it was...an experience, he supposes. He'll just explain the setup and what was expected to happen there; he'll also give a brief overview of how it did in fact dissolve into a lot of actual murder, but it was all right because it was all some sort of simulation and as such nobody actually died. There aren't a lot of details about his personal involvement, just that he was there and saw a good amount of things go down, a lot of it was murdery, and while he would not exactly like to do that again he supposes it wasn't the worst thing in the world.
3. And then he was brought here! Where he found out that Asgore and Krauser are also here, and he finds that greatly acceptable. They found some weird fruit? There are also apparently insane people here that like to fight dragons made of plants, and he will talk quite a bit about the plant-dragon-fighting because that was actually pretty great in his opinion. Kind of like being back home, only this place is very obviously more like the old world and operating on old world rules. Unfortunate, but workable.
Basically, it is very obvious that he is here to be hedonistic as hell and enjoy himself, because he's spent months locked in a closed setting with the same people and man, he is enjoying being on the outside again and able to do whatever he pleases. Maybe the novelty will wear off, maybe it won't, but for now he's here for this entire shebang.

Character Name: Izuku "Deku" Midoriya
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: Two
Offering(s): For the most part Izuku's rather shy and nervous, and might sidetrack into rambling about details if he's not kept in check. He also downplays his own feelings about and contributions to events quite a bit.
>The first thing he thinks to tell is the story of One for All and All for One...though he completely omits the "One for All" part and spins it instead as an ordinary chain of superhero mentors and successors. He covers everything he knows, from the origin of All for One and his brother all the way to All Might's fight with All for One in Kamino while skimming over the intermediary successors (though he does include what little he's learned about All Might's mentor, including her death at All for One's hands, though he glosses over it a bit). Reciting the history of All Might is probably the most relaxed and enthusiatic he gets throughout the entire storytelling, though it's also where he gets sidetracked the most. Fanboy gonna fanboy.
He's also trying very, very hard to hide that he's the latest successor, but his success is questionable at best - especially since many parts of his story contain some variation of "All Might told me" as an explaination.
>Izuku then summarizes his arrival on Ensō, focused more on his graditude towards the people he met and his fascination with the things he's encountered than anything else. He gets a little giddy regarding anything that looked like a Quirk to him, especially when talking about the people who helped him during his run-in with an angry rootwyrm. He does mention the shared dream with Starflight before waking up on the beach, but it's more of an afterthought on the way to talking about Starflight himself - he's a dragon, how cool is that?

1) Clinic. There really isn't much to tell here. There's a clinic now. They helped set it up. Faust-Doctor seems like a pretty okay person.
2) In this one, they talk about spraying the island with ink, and shooting people at the mana pool. They apparently enjoyed this event quite a bit, and will go into detail about strategies used and the reactions that people had to them.
3) Accosted at the mana pool Despite specifically using the mana pool at times when others are unlikely to be there, Shepard-Commander found them and disrupted their playtime. They're not terribly offended (they don't exactly hate her). Just. They were kind of enjoying themselves and then this person that things were very awkward with happened to intrude.

Character Name: Yeager
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): 1. The first thing he's going to talk about is that time he and Asgore found a monster, and Asgore didn't want to kill it. So instead they pushed it back until it teleported away. He'll also get pretty excited about Asgore's magic and how it differs from what he's familiar with, though he's not a mage so obviously he doesn't have personal experience with it. He actually seems almost genuinely excited for once? He just really loves weapons and things that can be used as weapons like magic, okay.
2. Next he'll talk about meeting up with Alexei at the forge. He was surprised Alexei knew how to craft weapons himself, but found the process pretty interesting (even if apparently it takes forever). He also talked to Alexei about some things that happened back home, though he doesn't go into detail on that. The rest of the story-telling here is really stilted; he and Alexei argued for a bit but they ended up figuring things out and it's... really weird? Really weird. He isn't sure what to think about it.
3. And finally, he'll mention that time he dropped by Bucky's and they discussed their worlds and technology. He's pretty sure Bucky hates his face, which he finds pretty damn amusing.

Character Name: Jack Krauser
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s): So the first thing to note here is that Krauser is not good at telling stories. He's very blunt and straightforward, with little detail and honestly, it's kind of hard to tell how point a connects to point q but he's. probably trying. maybe.
1. Krauser starts by talking about the last thing he remembers from canon, his fight with Leon. He doesn't go into detail about his powers or even why they were fighting to begin with, but he sounds like he was enjoying it. (Sort of. It's hard to tell with him.) He hesitates for a moment before leaving it there; he's not going to talk about his time in murdergame.
2. So then he arrived here, and immediately found Asgore! He's vague about how he knows Asgore, instead discussing how Asgore gave him information and was nice as usual, even though they don't know each other very well. It was very useful, and he approves.
3. Then later on he ran into Wesker! He doesn't explain how he knows Wesker either, but he's definitely fond of him. They fought a monster! It was really awesome. He is always here for fighting and having Wesker around is pretty nice too, he supposes. (It's such a relief, okay.)

- Greeting a new arrival in a wonderfully immature way. Zidane is not the only new arrival he treated like this, because some people are born to be ridiculous.
- A search on the new island! With two friends and... a strange little devilish looking person, who may or may not be a child. For sure he has too many knives and also too many cans of soda. Where is he even getting it all. (The search turned rather dangerous in the end, but he'll... gloss over that part. Mentioning the area is dangerous and should be avoided is more than enough.)
- Grandpa here discovered video games. Why in god's name would anyone make a game out of dating and marriage?? Aliens. It was definitely aliens.

Character Name: Faust
Character Journal:
Number of Offerings: 3
Offering(s):
Story 1: Faust has been exploring the new isles with some newfound acquaintances! In particular, he had a nail-biting encounter with some particularly unfriendly wildlife, and had to retreat with his unconscious companion in tow! Come to think of it, he should probably talk to them more about this...
Story 2: The island celebrates the Lunar New Year! Of all the pleasant surprises this place has brought Faust thus far, this one definitely takes the cake! Unfortunately, his recollection of this story is hampered by the fact he may have gotten the slightest bit drunk, but he's too overjoyed to care.
(...what do you mean it wasn't Chinese New Year?)
Story 3: First the massive ink fight, now the Denny, and soon probably even the new library that's opened up: Who is this bizarre defiance of all conventional laws of medical science?! Skeletons cannot walk without muscles! Eyeballs cannot function without a brain!! WHY IS HE WEARING A WIG?!
One paranoid rant later, it's clear the good doctor is unsettled by the resident skeleton for reasons of debatable validity. And he seems to think he might be a threat? It's not exactly clear.

Number of Offerings: 2! One for her personal use, another for the stones of farspeech, if that's still a thing that needs to be done!
Offering(s): This time around she tells a gentle story of her and Ren playing with the paint that was all over the island. She focuses mostly on Ren and how sweet she is and how much fun she was having with the cats. Ren is the most important part of the story, after all.
After that she decides to tell another story, one about fireworks in the sky and a gentle relaxing night with a good canine friend. Ammy truly is Best Dog.

I've been spending a lot of time on the new island this month, there's a lot to explore. [And truthfully he's not explored all that much, he doesn't want to wander off on his own too far.] Me, Ren, Hollow Knight, Knight, Amaterasu and Hector explored some of the rock pools near the coast, we found a lot of different creatures. We also found an abundance of Caulerpa lentillifera. They look a little like seaweed and also like grapes. [He holds up his notebook, in which he had drawn a very basic sketch of them.] They are safe to eat and go pretty well with fish.
I also met the Roaka, they are a very interesting people and friendly despite the fact we are the first different people they have seen in generations. I've been helping with lots of you after the earthquake, it seems such things are common on Cahypdo.
Keeping Track.
Um for those who were here last story telling I said I was going to collect everyone's names and then compare this time so we could keep track of those who had disappeared.
So the following people have gone missing in the last month. Gladio, Newt, Nezumi, Ann, Mira, Prompto and Barry. Hopefully they will return soon...
It's hard to tell here when people are gone just for a short time and when they are never coming back... But from what I have observed here and where I was before, I think if they are gone two months, miss two story tellings then we can probably assume they won't return...
Damianos has been gone that long... I didn't know him that well so I can't say much but when we met he was very kind to me. We met in Ai'Tuoh. [There are people here for whom the name of that city does not strike pain into them but Shion doesn't elaborate much.] He gave me a headscarf in case white hair was too 'unusual' for their rules...
Ceej... [No. He can't. Tears fill his eyes and his hands clutch tighter at the notebook in his hands. He had something prepared to say but now... How can he find words to explain all that Ceej was to him. How much he misses him, how much he regrets everything that was not said.] Remember his name. Remember them both.
Census Later, when he has calmed down and during a gap in the stories Shion can be found approaching anyone whose name he doesn't yet know, anyone who arrived the last month who he hasn't ran into yet. "Hello... Can I take your name?"
