[MU] - DECEMBER STORYTELLING / MEMORY SHARE
Something is wrong.
This may not very well be obvious, at first. The Storyteller is not present to put forth yet another diatribe, informative or apologetic, and the backdrop of guttering flame and sandy campfire is as present as ever...albeit briefly.
Those who tell their stories will start to notice something...odd taking place. Indeed, no matter how they intend to begin their tale, the land of Mu will immediately start to warp to accommodate it, or something utterly unlike it, until storytellers and listeners alike may find themselves in an exact recreation of a seemingly random memory, in the most stark and painstaking of detail. There is no altering the memory, nor is there any preventing it once it's begun to play - you will simply have to witness memories that are not your own this go around.
Furthermore, stories that take place in worlds other than LifeAftr will be, frankly, inevitable. Those memories, too, will be recreated, to be relived by the teller and lived by the listener.
It is time, once more, for you to tell a story...with a slight twist! This is, in fact, our first player plot, as provided by Dragon! The initial setting will be familiar for oldcomers, and newcomers will recognize it from the introduction they received in their dreams.
Yet for this Storytelling only, people can imagine whatever stories they wish, from both their homes and their time on LifeAftr, as long as they don't mind the fact that others will be reliving those stories in the form of an impromptu memory share.
Even those who prefer not to voice their stories aloud are not safe this time around. If the memory is recalled in essence, Mu will shift to accommodate it in full.
There is, however, a benefit to this: those who venture memories to be relived will receive both a befuddled apology from the Storyteller, who will assert that this was most definitely not meant to happen (they're the Storyteller, not the Rememberer!), as well as a tired promise that the relived memories will be worth two offerings each, as if in compensation.
Not that it counts for much, probably.

But at he stares down the steaming pile of cat puke, Guzma feels his muscles relax, a little bit. He's still tense and ready to lash out if the imbecile say anything stupid, or sets him off (and wow, that'd be super easy, given his short as heck fuse right now), but he at least seats himself back down, breathing hard through his nose. His hands and shoulders shake, and Guzma grips his knees to settle them, or at least give himself some leverage.]
Ain't no business of yours, but I put my bets on a choice psychopath what didn't give no care 'bout what happened to me...so long as she got what she wanted. [His fingers curl into the fabric of his pants, pulling tightly. If that woman ever showed up here... If she ever showed up...he might strike her. No, he absolutely would. Beat her down like the useless thug she assumed him to be. No regrets.]

[He spits, right into the fire, to no discernible effect. Well, guess what, buddy -- Ichimatsu doesn't really care about what happened to you either. Not really. Not enough to uncoil the barbed wire settled in his stomach and offer some sort of sympathetic tripe, anyway. Then again, he's incapable of completing such a basic action of decency for anyone, so it's really nothing personal.]
[Besides, he's got the feeling Guzma wouldn't appreciate it from the likes of him.]
[At least being on roughly the same level works in some ways.]
You're right. Not my business. [Ichimatsu shrugs with one shoulder, but it's sort of jerky, like he can't quite sell how completely unaffected he was by that whole thing.] If you're saying she sicced that thing on you for her own reasons, though, I'd say you should probably dump her. Not that it matters to me.

But talking, venting, ranting about it....helps. It helps to blow off steam, and keep his anger in check. In fact, he's only simmering at this point, and actually barks out a harsh laugh, sneering at the fire, as if he could see Lusamine's image reflected in the blaze. What he wouldn't give to just...just--]
Dump her? Oh man...I should'a dumped her stinkin' carcass down the steps of that alter on Poni. Heh, but hindsight is twenty-twenty. [Not to mention he was still pretty rattled by the whole ordeal.]

[The thought is staunchly dumped half a second later. Totoko could be cruel sometimes, but she would never make him go through -- that. Whatever the fuck that was.]
[For his part, Ichimatsu's tone remains somewhere between impassiveness and grim interest.]
So she's dead?
no subject
He has no sympathy for that woman anymore. And why should he? He never meant a thing to her from the very start. He was simply a tool, a way to her end goal. Like everyone else, she had cast him aside like the trash he is. But past that? She was so much more evil. So much more cruel and hellishly uncaring. To pokemon, to people, to her own children...even to the world itself.]
Unfortunately, no. [He sneers.] But s'far as I heard? She's in critical condition, held up in the med ward at Aether on constant watch... Tch, would'a been better without 'er - leave her in that there freaky world where she wanted t'be.
Let 'er rot there.

[Not that it makes Ichimatsu want to hug it out or anything.]
[The guy wants that lady to die, whatever. It doesn't affect him either way, but with the way the world works, he seriously doubts that's gonna happen.]
Keep dreaming. People like that find a way to keep coming back. Karma... justice... it never touches 'em.
