[MU] - DECEMBER STORYTELLING / MEMORY SHARE
Something is wrong.
This may not very well be obvious, at first. The Storyteller is not present to put forth yet another diatribe, informative or apologetic, and the backdrop of guttering flame and sandy campfire is as present as ever...albeit briefly.
Those who tell their stories will start to notice something...odd taking place. Indeed, no matter how they intend to begin their tale, the land of Mu will immediately start to warp to accommodate it, or something utterly unlike it, until storytellers and listeners alike may find themselves in an exact recreation of a seemingly random memory, in the most stark and painstaking of detail. There is no altering the memory, nor is there any preventing it once it's begun to play - you will simply have to witness memories that are not your own this go around.
Furthermore, stories that take place in worlds other than LifeAftr will be, frankly, inevitable. Those memories, too, will be recreated, to be relived by the teller and lived by the listener.
It is time, once more, for you to tell a story...with a slight twist! This is, in fact, our first player plot, as provided by Dragon! The initial setting will be familiar for oldcomers, and newcomers will recognize it from the introduction they received in their dreams.
Yet for this Storytelling only, people can imagine whatever stories they wish, from both their homes and their time on LifeAftr, as long as they don't mind the fact that others will be reliving those stories in the form of an impromptu memory share.
Even those who prefer not to voice their stories aloud are not safe this time around. If the memory is recalled in essence, Mu will shift to accommodate it in full.
There is, however, a benefit to this: those who venture memories to be relived will receive both a befuddled apology from the Storyteller, who will assert that this was most definitely not meant to happen (they're the Storyteller, not the Rememberer!), as well as a tired promise that the relived memories will be worth two offerings each, as if in compensation.
Not that it counts for much, probably.

[He's not that inept and the Batter would have to ask himself if he had been tossed against a wall one to many times to suddenly start thinking apologizes would heal what he did to the people in his world.]

Yeah, that sounds about right. The Batter knows that there's nothing that could be done for Sucre. She was long gone when he ran across her and he really didn't have the right to decide if killing her was the best thing to do. Zacharie had said it was for the better but...
It had been the first time that the Batter had seen him express sorrow.]

[The Batter isn't sure if this will be taken well or not, and it's pretty clear he's testing the words out. Extending words that may become actions later on down the line wasn't actually something the Batter did. The world called for his pity and he purified it.

I need to do everything for you. For the sake of my home, my memories, and my life. The only way I can redeem myself is by making you just a little bit better.
[ He doesn't expand upon that-- perhaps Zacharie felt blame for not being programmed to fight him. Or perhaps, there was something in his memories he hadn't shared that meant he could've, but didn't. Maybe once upon an alpha of the game, he did fight him. He doesn't remember-- for the sake of all those that died, the Batter must face a fate worse than death -- redemption and understanding of the damage he caused.
And then, he could live contentedly once he realized he could live with the pain. ]

But still. There was something that Zacharie wasn't telling him. As inept at the Batter was at understanding himself, his observations of others wasn't so bad. Applying the ability to care would make it even better.]

[Maybe all of them needed redemption in some manner. Something to make them all say they were okay. Not better, but okay.]
