[MU] - DECEMBER STORYTELLING / MEMORY SHARE
Something is wrong.
This may not very well be obvious, at first. The Storyteller is not present to put forth yet another diatribe, informative or apologetic, and the backdrop of guttering flame and sandy campfire is as present as ever...albeit briefly.
Those who tell their stories will start to notice something...odd taking place. Indeed, no matter how they intend to begin their tale, the land of Mu will immediately start to warp to accommodate it, or something utterly unlike it, until storytellers and listeners alike may find themselves in an exact recreation of a seemingly random memory, in the most stark and painstaking of detail. There is no altering the memory, nor is there any preventing it once it's begun to play - you will simply have to witness memories that are not your own this go around.
Furthermore, stories that take place in worlds other than LifeAftr will be, frankly, inevitable. Those memories, too, will be recreated, to be relived by the teller and lived by the listener.
It is time, once more, for you to tell a story...with a slight twist! This is, in fact, our first player plot, as provided by Dragon! The initial setting will be familiar for oldcomers, and newcomers will recognize it from the introduction they received in their dreams.
Yet for this Storytelling only, people can imagine whatever stories they wish, from both their homes and their time on LifeAftr, as long as they don't mind the fact that others will be reliving those stories in the form of an impromptu memory share.
Even those who prefer not to voice their stories aloud are not safe this time around. If the memory is recalled in essence, Mu will shift to accommodate it in full.
There is, however, a benefit to this: those who venture memories to be relived will receive both a befuddled apology from the Storyteller, who will assert that this was most definitely not meant to happen (they're the Storyteller, not the Rememberer!), as well as a tired promise that the relived memories will be worth two offerings each, as if in compensation.
Not that it counts for much, probably.

[ Unaware of the fact that Littner evolves, Yuka doesn't like the idea of adorable kittens fighting. ]
no subject
[ she beams from ear to ear. ] Some people keep pokemon as pets, and some people grow stronger together through battling...and that's what we did!
no subject
[ As far as Yuka is concerned, Litten shouldn't have to fight anything more menacing than a dangled reed. Incineroar sounds like a different story, though, just going by the name. ]
Pokemon sound pretty amazing... it's too bad I can't see them for myself.

We're still looking for Kitten and the others, but I have Chiffon and Nina with me! If you'd, um, like to meet them! [ she seems so excited. Showing other people her pokemon has become something of a treat for Luna...and she knows that Chiffon and Nina love it, also. Maybe more Chiffon. ]
They live inside these poke-balls! Wanna see?
no subject
[ THIS IS EXCITING NOW, ACTUALLY ]
no subject
Okay! These two are with me... [ she gives the balls a high toss in the air, and out emerges Nina and Chiffon, who stand at either side of Luna proudly. Each has a gaze that holds, and they seem quite focused on Yuka, a stranger...
...until Luna's hand dives into her pocket and withdraws a few small blueberries. Both pokemon turn to her, fixated!!! Excuse!!! Would like smol berry! ]
This one is Nina... [ she drops her hand to Nina, who daintily eats the berry and then begins to groom her face with a paw. The air is a little bit colder. ] ...and this one is Chiffon! [ Chiffon, on the other hand, nips and bites at the berries in Luna's hand with a high-speed wagging tail!!! This is literally the best day ever!!!! ]

Yuka is immediately kind of overwhelmed by the attention of the pair of majestic and adorable creatures. She almost forgets to talk as she stares. ]
Can... Can I touch them...?
no subject
Sure! Be careful-- Nina's an ice type...and Chiffon's a really, uh, hard cuddler! [ she laughs. Yuka'd see soon enough, if she sscratches the right way. There's no pressure to find the right way to scratch though. Chiffon is first, bounding over like a energetic, happy dog, sniffing Yuka nosily and pressing her nose into Yuka's clothes. Who are you? Who is dis??
Nina stays where she is, sitting down and watching. Obviously a lady of more refined taste, she would sooner wait to be pet than actively seek out pets...though she is watching with a little impatience. >:C don't pet me, but also...pet me. ]

They're so cute... You're so lucky, having partners like this...

The rock pokemon nudges Yuka's arm with a pitiful little whine. Nina stares into Yuka's eyes and allows her to pet. And the pets are v. good. Her chilled fur is much, much softer than Chiffon's, but colder with each press. Luna beams happily. ] Chiffon, wait your turn! She didn't forget about you!
[ Chiffon borks anxiously!! But!! What if she did?? 8C THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME ]
no subject
Thank you so much for introducing me! They're so wonderful!

Nina loves her scratches... here. [ under her ear, where the fur is thinner and very soft. Nina pushes her head into Luna's hand, down toward the ground, and the little trainer laughs. ] And... Chiffon's is here! [ she reaches out and scratches on the back of Chiffon's neck where the rocks start and less coarse fur ends. Chiffon's nose lifts toward the sky and her rocky mane presses into Luna's arm, and soon into Luna's shoulder with a happy lean. Luna winces through her continued laughter. ]
J-just be careful, because...Chiffon is a really big cuddler, but the rocks are pointy... [ Chiffon barks like she's proud of this. I am a very good pokemon, yes. >:C The best. ]
