[MU] - DECEMBER STORYTELLING / MEMORY SHARE

Something is wrong.

This may not very well be obvious, at first. The Storyteller is not present to put forth yet another diatribe, informative or apologetic, and the backdrop of guttering flame and sandy campfire is as present as ever...albeit briefly.

Those who tell their stories will start to notice something...odd taking place. Indeed, no matter how they intend to begin their tale, the land of Mu will immediately start to warp to accommodate it, or something utterly unlike it, until storytellers and listeners alike may find themselves in an exact recreation of a seemingly random memory, in the most stark and painstaking of detail. There is no altering the memory, nor is there any preventing it once it's begun to play - you will simply have to witness memories that are not your own this go around.

Furthermore, stories that take place in worlds other than LifeAftr will be, frankly, inevitable. Those memories, too, will be recreated, to be relived by the teller and lived by the listener.

It is time, once more, for you to tell a story...with a slight twist! This is, in fact, our first player plot, as provided by Dragon! The initial setting will be familiar for oldcomers, and newcomers will recognize it from the introduction they received in their dreams.

Yet for this Storytelling only, people can imagine whatever stories they wish, from both their homes and their time on LifeAftr, as long as they don't mind the fact that others will be reliving those stories in the form of an impromptu memory share.

Even those who prefer not to voice their stories aloud are not safe this time around. If the memory is recalled in essence, Mu will shift to accommodate it in full.

There is, however, a benefit to this: those who venture memories to be relived will receive both a befuddled apology from the Storyteller, who will assert that this was most definitely not meant to happen (they're the Storyteller, not the Rememberer!), as well as a tired promise that the relived memories will be worth two offerings each, as if in compensation.

Not that it counts for much, probably.

[She's far from deterred. Like the day she rolled marbles onto the sand to win this dog's favor, she can manage to kick the little rock in her direction. Unfortunately, she misses the first time, making sand fly into the air like she's trying to create a dust devil. Not great. Does that give her negative points in this fake game?

The garbage kick gives her a terrible idea though and she flattens some of the ground with her foot, smoothing out the surface, and then-

kicks the little rock!! With all her toe bean, foot nugget might. It goes farther than before, but considering how rough the terrain is, that's still not great. She's not getting it past any fake goalies here.

You're winning! Good job!

[There are so negative points in this game -it's all about having fun anyway, isn't it? Ammy still jerks forward to retrieve the rock, stopping only when Ren makes a move for it instead. Her tail wags and she pants, eyes poised on the little girl and when she'll make another throw. She really does need to ask the Storyteller for a ball, or some other kind of toy, but this little game of kick and throw is pretty fun either way.

The smoothed surface does a bit better with the rolling, but not by much - sand is indeed a finicky mistress. Ammy is undeterred though, she swats the little rock back as best she can with a paw, barking happily and jumping up on her front arms. She's winning!!! 8D]

[This is so different from playing with a cat.

She would run blades of grass up and down, watching them chase it. Sometimes she would use her hand, knowing they would never hurt her and just bat their little paws at her fingers. She would throw tiny items that would roll and watch them run and run. ESP kitty was special-he could do a little more than the average cat and Murasaki, with all his talents, was able to play with her differently too.

But a dog? It's fun. Very fun. She didn't think it could be quite this exciting to have the creature bat the rock her way, like she knows they're in a pvp soccer match right now. The excitement is palpable. The dog's swat earns her-

200 points!

[In what? For what? Ren doesn't know, but she wants to keep that magical flower dog happy.]

If you hit that thing-

[She points vaguely to a log where hopefully no one's sitting? Ren doesn't seem to care regardless.]

Then you win the whole game.

[Go for it doggo!! She's cheering you on!!]
