There have been times where Chara has found themself comparing others to Rin.
It's an involuntary thought. Intrusive and unwanted, it is never accompanied by a sense of fondness or exasperated humor- just the pain of once again reminding themself of what is no more. The girl in this memory doesn't exist anymore.
More to the point, the child in this memory doesn't exist anymore. This entire occurrence, all of their memories- are now instances in their mind alone. Unshared, unwanted. For all their use, they may as well be figments of Chara's imagination.
But oh, as Lup looks to them she reminds them once more of her; another, firey magic user. Their type who always earns a smile no matter how painted with agonizing nostalgia it is.
"Jealous?" They ask flippantly, regardless of how they feel. She is not Rin.
And even if she were, these are not things they would share. Not then. And certainly not now. "As a matter of fact, she did know some spells of that nature."
